Support with Energy Costs
Ofgem announced a 10% increase in the energy price cap from October 1, 2024 and this is set to rise again by 1.2% from January 1, 2025. The annual bill for a typical household (using both gas and electricity), before the October increase, was £1,568.
The rise since October’s 10% and the January 2025 inflated cost will see the annual bill rise to £1,738, meaning an increase of £170.
